I was using the b43 driver that comes with the daily lucid builds without pio mode enabled. Are you sure you are the compat-wireless b43 driver and not the native kernel driver? The newest compat-wireless builds (actually, since February) don't compile under kernsl 2.6.32, only 2.6.33. If you need a visual timer for anything, OnlyStopWatch can get the job done and anyone can use it.Rlelliott: The compat-wireless build definitely should not give DMA errors because they are patched to use PIO mode. The clock face is large and easy to see with high-contrast color combinations. This program can remain small and "only a stopwatch," even with an alarm function or some sort of audible indicator. One shortcoming of this program is the lack of an alarm or indication that you have reached your desired time. If you do not set the program to start and stop with a mouse click, it will never reset to exactly zero (as seen from the milliseconds). You can set OnlyStopWatch to start and stop on a mouse click, which is recommended. The stopwatch function starts the timer at zero unless you start it at a different time. This app will count down for you and allows you to choose a preset starting number of minutes or allows you to input a unique number of minutes. You have the choice of visualizing the hour and the milliseconds. You can view hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. The program gives you the choice of six color combinations for the timer and allows you to choose what time denominations to view. OnlyStopWatch opens to a large format visual digital timer. But what it does do, it does fairly well. This app doesn't claim to do more than its title - and it doesn't. The download was extremely fast and the installation was so quick that it was almost imperceptible. OnlyStopWatch is a very light app that dedicates itself to counting time for you.
